CEPARE PRINCIPLES
Learning

- We inform, support, and enable change in educational systems, organizations, and communities.
- We partner with individuals, practitioners, policymakers, and each other, as well as communities and organizations.
CEPARE AFFILIATION
Faculty Affiliates
- Any faculty member at the University of Connecticut may elect to become a faculty affiliate of CEPARE.
- Responsibilities of Faculty Affiliates include:
- Regularly participate in CEPARE events and activities.
- Note CEPARE affiliation in relevant publications and presentations.
- Represent CEPARE externally to funders, the press, and at scholarly conferences, meetings or workshops. Conduct collaborative research that aligns directly with CEPARE mission.
- Engage in outreach activities that align directly with CEPARE mission. Identify and pursue opportunities for multi-disciplinary collaboration within UConn.
- Seek external funding sources or opportunities for the CEPARE.
- Establish partnerships with organizations outside of UConn (government, community organizations, professional associations, etc.).
- Benefits to Faculty Affiliates include (1) influence over the activities of CEPARE; (2) access to the resources of CEPARE, including opportunities for graduate advisees; (3) publicity for one’s research agenda and work.
Student Affiliates
- Any UConn student whose interests align with the principles and goals of CEPARE may affiliate with the Center.
- Responsibilities of Student Affiliates include:
- Regularly participate in CEPARE events and activities.
- Note CEPARE affiliation in relevant publications and presentations.
- Benefits to Student Affiliates include (1) access to the resources of CEPARE; (2) publicity for one’s research agenda and work; (3) visibility via the CEPARE website.
Affiliate Nomination
Faculty or students may join CEPARE through a self-nomination process, or by a nomination from a current member of the Center. Nominations are submitted to the director of the Center via the Affiliation Survey [click here!], and should include: a) a current CV, b) a link to the candidate’s professional website, and c) a photo for the CEPARE website.
Faculty who join a hub automatically become an Affiliate and should submit to the director via the survey a) a current CV, b) a link to the candidate’s professional website, and c) a photo for the CEPARE website.
Nominations accepted at any time but will be processed October 1 and February 1. In 2021, nominations will be processed November 1, 2021.
Faculty Affiliate status will be granted upon approval by the Center director in consultation with the Steering Committee, which will also define the term length (typically five years). As the term approaches its expiration, faculty members and students may be invited to renew their affiliation.
